A Note from the Creator of Dover Coat -

A brief history: Dover Panels, a Minnesota Corporation, has been in business for almost 50 years. The business grew out of my involvement with a local paint company Forman Ford as Marketing Manager for an epoxy coating system. Beyond the aspect of marketing I began to function in a role as Applications Engineer and as such the primary object was to sell more paint. As applications engineering involved testing, providing samples, altering the coating formula, etc. I found myself spending many hours in my own laboratory (basement) perfecting the product for various application and developing procedures and techniques which would yield an acceptable if not revolutionary outcome in terms of service and cost improvement to the customer. I decided to pursue some of the more outstanding results on my own, with the blessing of the coating supplier, who was after all interested in selling paint, lots of it!
